1. How Should I Dress?
You should wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Maybe not your pajamas but nearly anything else. (Or your pajamas if you really feel like it.)
If you worship and listen best in a suit and tie or fancy skirt then that is what you should wear.
If you work in your garden or someone else's on Sunday mornings then you should come with dirty knees and grimy finger nails.
To make it more simple I would say you are already in your "Church Clothes".
2. What Time Does the Service Start?
The service should start right at 9am (Give or take).
3. How Long will the Service Last?
Each service is about an hour and fifteen minute long. With Tea, Coffee, and Conversation after our desire would be to have you around for just a little longer. (1h 15m)
4. Will My Children Have a Place to Go or will they Stay with Me?
Mountain View Kids from 4yrs. to 10yrs. and takes place during the second half of our normal service. This is a time for children to understand the truths of Scripture at their appropriate age level.
Children under the age of three can stay with you or they can go to the creche.
5. Will I have to Give Money?
Visitors are asked to not give money. Individuals and families that are members of Mountain View do give money as one of the many ways they worship. Blessing God and the church in proportion to how they have been blessed.
However, as a visitor we instead ask that you come several times then try to find ways you can worship and serve before committing to financial giving.
6. What will the Preaching be Like?
Sometimes we preach through books of the Bible. Sometimes we look for bigger concepts in the Bible that are important for understanding God's Word as a whole. Other times we will look at topics like marriage, parenting, pain, joy, or seasons of life.
No matter the format of preaching everything will include the direct teaching and application of scripture. That is, how we should read the Bible and how we should live everyday because of the Good New about what Jesus has done on our behalf.
7. What will the Music be Like?
Music is a work in progress. We are a new church and need more musicians that wish to take part in leading the congregation in worship.
You should expect a mix of modern and timeless songs that will be helping us to better understand our worship as we sing together.
